Historic 1700's Farmhouse Renovated - Philadelphia Suburbs

Jan and Steve have lovingly restored this home to its original charm. Two years ago, I helped them find and buy this beautiful property. It was definitely in rough shape, with no kitchen & no heat, but with Jan's eye for design and Steve's handyman, "I can do anything" attitude, they have created a masterpiece! I was blown away when I went to visit them this past holiday season. This incredible house is one of a kind! It was built in the 1700s out of stone from the quarry nearby and is 3 stories and over 3000 square feet. It features a central fireplace indicative of the style of home that was commonly built by the British. It is rumored to have been the summer retreat of a wealthy Philadelphia lawyer. I hope you enjoy this Before & After as much as I have enjoyed putting it together. Cheers to Jan & Steve!
